JANAKPURDHAM: Rajarshi Janak University has announced plans to introduce a centralised digital system to improve its academic and administrative operations.

The announcement was made as the university marked its ninth anniversary on October 29. The proposed system will bring academic activities, examinations, administration, and accounting under a connected digital network.

The university plans to introduce a Learning Management System (LMS) to make academic resources and services more accessible to students.

The initiative is also expected to reduce administrative delays and make university operations more efficient.

Alongside digital improvements, the university has stated that it will work to strengthen its laboratories, accelerate delayed infrastructure projects and revise academic curricula to better match the needs of students and the employment market.

The institution has also identified improvements to its School of Health Sciences as one of its priorities.

The proposed changes could help modernise higher education in Madhesh Province. However, their success will depend on effective implementation, adequate technical resources and timely delivery of the planned facilities.
